The Tucson REALTORS® Charitable Foundation

Essential Workers Housing Fund

Over the past two years, essential workers have put their lives on the line to ensure our community's health and safety. Yet many of them have trouble securing a home in the very communities they serve.

Through the generous support of our partners, essential workers may now qualify to have both down payment and closing cost assistance.

This housing fund grants 2% of the first mortgage loan (up to $5,000) to assist with closing costs.  Read more below about which essential workers qualify for the program and how to participate.

How does it work?

Must Be Approved for PTHS Program

To participate in the program you must meet all of the qualifications for the PTHS Program and be enrolled in the program with an approved PTHS lender.

Must Be an Approved "Essential Worker", as defined by the CDC

Your lender will verify your employment status at the time of the closing of the loan.

See the below list for approved professions.

You do not need to use DPA.

If you would like closing cost assistance, but do not need DPA, you can choose our 0% DPA option for a great mortgage rate.

Loan Officers and Lenders
